In line with the Tata group Guidelines and the CII Code, we have adopted Affirmative Action (AA) since 2007 to ensure upliftment of the backward classes of society in areas where we operate.
Our AA interventions reach out to economically backward communities, especially Dalits/ Tribal communities, Women & PWD (person with disabilities).
TSDPL also signed the Code of Conduct on Affirmative Action of CII and is committed to the initiatives since 2007.
TSDPL has identified 5Es as its focus areas for the AA initiatives with a view to achieving sustainability in the livelihoods of underprivileged sections of society.
Among the 5Es, we give priority to 'Education' and 'Employability' initiatives and have identified these as the prioritized 'E'.
