Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited (TSDPL) was originally set up in 1997 as Tata Ryerson Ltd., a joint venture between Tata Steel of India and Ryerson Inc. of USA. In 2009, Tata Steel acquired the entire equity of Ryerson Inc. and thus was born TSDPL, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Steel.

Today, TSDPL is a trusted Tata Steel Distributor and value-added steel processing company, serving the automotive, infrastructure, construction, engineering, and manufacturing sectors across India. As India's largest steel service centre, TSDPL combines Tata Steel's world-class steel products with advanced processing capabilities, offering customers high-quality, customized steel solutions through an extensive nationwide network.

TSDPL pioneered the Steel Service Centre concept in India and became the country's first organized steel service centre capable of processing high tensile steel. This globally proven model introduced Indian industrial customers to a new standard of efficiency, quality, and supply chain reliability.
